appzapper iconThe folks over at TUAW turned me on to an application for the Mac that I had been looking for called AppZapper. Not that a name like that needs any explaination, but it’s a great little program for uninstalling the rest of the crap that is created and left behind even after you uninstall an application. For those non Mac folks, to install a Mac program you just drag it where you want it (like the applications folder) and run it. When you’re done you just drag it to the trash (no add/remove programs crap like in Windows). While this is nice and easy your preference files and some support files are usually left behind. I assume this is in case you decide to re-install the application everything will be how you left it. With AppZapper instead of dragging it to the Trash you can drag it to this lightweight application and it will take the rest of the files with it! Check it out if you’re a mac user! This one is going on my “must have” list.
