Anyone else notice that there have been a few Dunkin Donuts in the area that have raised the price of the iced coffees? What the hell is going on? Now I’m paying $2.10 for an iced coffee instead of the $1.88. I know this is only a twelve cent difference but breaking into the third bill is insanely annoying. WTF?

Coffee? (wrinkles her nose in distaste) Buy caffienated gum. Cheaper. And tastier according to the tastebuds. Or my tastebuds, at least.
But, I agree. The bastards!

I don’t know about everyone else, but once I break that bill the change is as good as history. It ends up in the change jar, never to be circulated again. Let me elaborate on the problem even further and bring some numbers to the discussion. If you drink two coffees a day like I do, then that means you get back $1.80 in coins each day. $1.80 X 7 days a week = $12.60 per week X 52 weeks = $655.20 in coins per year. And thats just for the coffee… Where do all those coins go?

Update: The place by my work has increased to $2.07. What the hell? SEVEN CENTS?
Matt, this has made me switch over to the Dunkin Donuts card. While this can only mean that I’m now officially an addict it also eliminates this change situation. If I don’t use it I’m essentially up to $3.00 a coffee because I’m just not dealing with 93 cents in change.
