Why You Can’t Drive

Friday, May 27th, 2005

Driving to work I am constantly avoiding people who think yield means merge, that entering the rotary at twice the suggested speed limit gives them the right of way, and that a red light means you have a few more seconds to go before the other side gets a green.

I have always asked myself if anyone even bothers to obey the signs they encounter while driving anymore. It seems as though nice folks over at GMAC Insurance have answered my question. It turns out it doesn’t matter how many signs there are, people just don’t know what they mean!

And with that I say, congratulations Massholes! You’re almost the dumbest drivers on the road! Maybe we can get there for the next survey.

Dunkin Donuts Code Words

Friday, May 27th, 2005

Ok, so this is my like tenth post about Dunkin Donuts on this blog. Maybe the smell of coffee or the flood of annoying people bring out my creative side? Anyhow, today as I waited in line I realized there are a lot of DD Code Words that someone from a non DD infested state may not know about. I guess it could be a nationionwide thing, but I have a feeling it’s localized to the greater Boston area. With that, here is some DD Code, let me know what they mean or post your own! Oh the fun that a Friday with THA can bring!

1. Regular
2. Extra Extra
3. Light – Light
4. Light Cream/Milk/Skim

Alarming Dunkin Donuts Trend

Friday, May 20th, 2005

Anyone else notice that there have been a few Dunkin Donuts in the area that have raised the price of the iced coffees? What the hell is going on? Now I’m paying $2.10 for an iced coffee instead of the $1.88. I know this is only a twelve cent difference but breaking into the third bill is insanely annoying. WTF?

Apple Store Burllington, Massachusetts

Over on the east coast, Apple has inked a deal with Simon Properties’ recently renovated Burllington Mall, which will deliver Massachusetts its sixth Apple retail store. The new store, due to open sometime this Summer, will join three existing Mass. Apple stores in addition to upcoming locations in Braintree and Hingham.

The upscale shopping center is anchored by Filene’s, Lord & Taylor, Macy’s and Sears and features more than 155 specialty shops and a 775-seat Food Court. According to sources, Apple will take over a lower-level storefront in Location C, formerly occupied by lingerie retailer La Senza.

International Respect for Chickens Day

Thursday, May 12th, 2005

I can’t believe I missed this.. Apparently International Respect for Chickens Day this was on May 4th this year. I would have to go out and say there’s an excellent chance I ate something that involved chicken on that day. I guess I don’t respect chickens. Anyway, have a look at the suggestions so you can prepare for next year.
