Dating on Demand

If you’re looking for something to watch on TV this weekend there is a new feature with Comcast On Demand that you should check out. If you go into the Local section of On Demand there is a choice for Dating on Demand. Here you will find short clips of various people looking for a date. Of course I sat there and watched most of them because it’s like a trainwreck. My conclusion was that it’s really no big secret why most of them are on Dating on Demand. Check it out and let me know what you think.

What’s your secret?

I’m a huge fan of Found magazine where people send in random items that they have found in their travels. Recently a website along similar lines was forwarded to me called Post Secret. If you’re interested in the random thoughts of strangers (as I am) I suggest you check it out.

Ebay: Adopt My Breasts

Yet another reason to love Ebay! The things people put up for auction just blow my mind..

Note: The auction was pulled from Ebay. The auction was to adopt her 34DD breasts. If you won the auction you would get monthly updates on what her breasts have been doing and a dedicated breast email address where you could email them at any time during the year. The auction was won for 20 British Pounds.

Updating Plesk 7.5.1 Horde Webmail to Smarter Mail Professional

I’ve been working on setting up our fourth server for my side business. This server is using a new installation of Plesk 7.5.1 with Smarter Tools for statistics and mail as well as Gene6 secure FTP Server. I wanted to make sure all of the clients on this box were able to use the new and improved webmail service. To make SmarterMail Professional the default webmail service for Plesk 7.5.1 this is what you have to do:

1. Open webmail IIS properties

2. Home Directory Tab
For Local Path – C:\Program Files\SmarterTools\SmarterMail\MRS
Under Application Settings open “Configuration”
Check “Cache ISAPI extensions”
Add an extension
extension: .aspx
Executable Path: C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\aspnet_isapi.dll
Verbs: GET,HEAD,POST,DEBUG
Check “Script Engine”
Close the webmail (default) IIS properties sheet

3. Open the webmail web site tree and right click on the mailprocessing directory. Choose Properties from the pull-down menu. In the Execute Permissions dropdown box, choose “None”.

Gmail’s first birthday

Gmail turns a year old today and to celebrate they’ve added a ton of great new features including an additional gigabyte of storage. For those who are counting that’s a solid 2GB of email storage. I think it’s time that I officially switched to Gmail full time. The only reason I’ve resisted so far is that I’m worried that at some point I wouldn’t be able to get access to my email. I think what I’ll do is POP it down for archiving and then use the Web for everything else. Let’s be honest.. where is Google going? Someone remind me.. how did the earth spin before Google?
