Nothing like a small tiff between a squirt bottle, pair of scissors, and an extremely angry fat kid…. Enjoy

Nose Hair

Thursday, March 24th, 2005

Friend: I’m finding an increase in my nose hair. This is disturbing. Are you having the same issue? What’s the deal with this? Can ear hair be far behind?

Me: Ahh yes, one of the benefits of growing older. Truely a disturbing revelation when you realize that at any moment you could begin to lose hair on your head while it is rapidly being replaced by rampant nose and ear hair. The only way to deal with this is to grab the bull by the horns. Get yourself over to the mall and pick up a high end nose hair trimmer. Don’t go for a multi-function trimmer, we’re in serious territory. One slip up and you have a bloody nose and a scab that makes it look like you pick your nose for a second job. The fourth of fifth time you groom this area of your body the pain starts to
go away. I turned to booze.. others turn to drugs or God. Hang on tight my friend, it’s a long hairy spiral to the bottom.

Friend: This is troubling. I barely need a razor for my face and yet, I may need to purchase a grooming product for my nostrils.

I’m done with chicken.. for now!

Monday, March 21st, 2005

I understand that health benefits of chicken. I even enjoy the numerous ways you can prepare chicken. That being said, I’m completely sick of chicken. I just don’t feel like chicken much anymore. I eat it. I don’t hate it. But I wouldn’t go out to a restaurant and pick a chicken dish. Maybe I’m just in serious food rut?

Reminder: He’s in a BAND people.

Well, my first Treo died before the weekend was out (47 hours to be exact). I’m not going to let that ruin my fun. I’ve decided to follow the instructions this time around to make sure it’s nothing that I did.
Treo650 - That's hot.

My iPod Shuffle and You

Saturday, March 5th, 2005

I recently received my iPod Shuffle in the mail. This is one of the coolest gadgets I’ve picked up in awhile. For those of you who already have an iPod I must say that it is a great addition your regular iPod. I’ve found that it’s lightweight, compact design, and lack of moving parts (read: hard to break) make it perfect for the gym and other various “on the go” situations. And, personally, I enjoy the fact that it doesn’t have a screen. I found myself in the gym and at work listening to the same playlist in the same order over and over. With the iPod Shuffle it keeps it nice and random. I’ve rediscovered some songs in my library that I had completely forgotten about.

For those of you that are jealous the guys over at Engadget show you how to get a free one!

Phone Parade!

Phone Parade

Thursday, March 3rd, 2005

When I was first looking for a phone that could handle all of my “on the go” needs I decided that for the money the T-Mobile Sidekick II would be the best way to go. I could get unlimited data for $29.95 a month. This was way cheaper than the unlimited PDA plan that Cingular was carrying at the time of something like $79.99 a month. I went with a Sidekick II and T-Mobile off of Amazon and ended up buying the phone for $199.00 with $250.00 in rebates (I was up $50.00! sounded good at the time..)
Within a week of signing up for T-Mobile there was an incident that made me lose confidence in them. It only got worse and over the next month I got sick of the scketchy coverage, there were scandals, and botched upgrades. I decided that enough was enough and I was going to drop T-Mobile. After a couple of days of dealing with Customer Service I decided to bail even though they weren’t going to let me out of the contract without the silly Early Termination Fee of $200. I promptly put my phone up on Ebay and sold it for $209.24 which put me right back where I started with Cingular and my trusty old T616. The problem was now that I had a taste of life with a cell that had email and IM I wanted to get a new phone. When I realized that Cingular had dropped their PDA Unlimited rates and started carrying the Treo 650 I went for it. I can’t wait to get my hands on the the 650!
So, what is the lesson here? T-Mobile bites (in my opinion).
