An open letter to people driving in the winter…
Here’s the deal. When you’re in a car and I’m in a parking lot trying to get into the store we are two people in very different environments: You are warm and safe from the elements in your car. I am being pounded by 15MPH winds and a wind chill of -20. But, this doesn’t matter to you, because you are a self consumed selfish son of a bitch. Why should you stop and let me go? You’re comfortable.
And it is with this that I ask you to adjust your thinking and pay attention. Let the people in the cold/snow/rain cross the street before you. Maybe even STOP and let them go with a gentle “please, go ahead” wave (with the phone not holding your cellphone of course). You might just make someones day.

First one Eric’s thought –
Drivers why honk when the people are in the crosswalk? It is 8 degrees out and we are cold. We don’t want to be outside so lay off the damn horn.
And to the drivers on the highway… how about cleaning your back windshield off. It makes it a little hard to merge onto 93 when you can’t see behind you.
