Bottom of the 14th. Ortiz, please.. don’t be a hero. Just win the game! I can’t take much more of this!
Beer at Fenway
Oct 18
I was thinking about this tonight. If they stop the beer in the 7th inning at Fenway, isn’t it only right that they start it back up in the 14th inning? I mean, it’s just a common curtsey. Really.
KEEP THE FAITH! 14TH AND LOVING LIFE!
I believe again..

I’m back to believing. Sue me.
I gave up..
Oct 16
Well, after watching most of this ass kicking I decided to call it a night. I’ve lost hope. GO PATS!! :)
I’m not giving up yet..

Well, OK.. don’t scroll down and look at my previous post. ;) I’m not giving up yet. It’s hard to win in the hostile territory of Yankee Stadium and to top if off the Yankees pitchers have been pitching lights out. We’re going to take a day off to re-coup from the injury and the insanely bad Fox announcers. Really, a basic part of announcing is getting everyones name right..
On a side note, it looks like the Patriots can’t seem to catch a break with any of the sports coverage since this series started. Only in Boston can a team that’s won 2 Superbowls in three years and broke a league record of wins be second stage to the RedSox.
Redsox in SEVEN! Keep the faith!
I’ve only started watching baseball over the past three years. This year, however, I’ve been paying attention to ESPN and I have watched a vast majority of the RedSox games this year. I was able to go to a couple of games this year (thank Jack!) and when I purchased a RedSox hat at the last game I was at I guess I officially became part of RedSox Nation. Which, as I’m sure many of you know, while it unites us it has proven to be quite painful over the years. After my day of mourning with the loss last year I told myself that I wasn’t going to watch baseball again this year. Since that didn’t seem to pan out as I expected it looks like I’m in the same situation as I was last year: watching the RedSox play the Spankees for a spot in the World Series while sitting on the edge of my couch, yelling at the television, and dreaming up all of the different ways the RedSox are more of a TEAM than the Yankees. Which is a fact and I choose not to discuss this with anyone as it is just mindblowing to me to think that someone could argue otherwise. I digress..
Here’s to one game at a time. Here’s to showing the Yankees what it means to be a team. Here’s to a good battle between teams. And of course, here’s to being in RedSox Nation and “Keeping the Faith” (TM) one more time.
As a nerd there are certain things that you celebrate: new products from Apple, using your cellphone as a modem, “accidently” using a wireless network, etc. Today started off as a normal day until I realized that I misjudged how much disk space I needed for one of the drives on our file server. Increasing the disk space usually involves backing up the data and restoring it to a new larger volume. The “impossible dream” of increasing a disks size on the fly without losing data or rebooting was just sitting there taunting me. And while many SAN controllers have supported this feature for awhile it never seemed to work with Windows volumes. Today that all changed as I stared the small disk down and went to battle. First I increased the size of the virtual disk (LUN), then I went into disk manager to see if the added space was there. After rescanning the disks I saw the old disk with an additional 5GB of unused disk! I told disk manager to add it to the vulme and it worked! And without a reboot! Dreams really do come true.
NEWARK, N.J. Don’t be surprised if missing that cup of morning coffee gives you a headache or makes it difficult to concentrate at work. It’s all part of caffeine withdrawal, say Johns Hopkins University researchers who released a study that could result in the official classification of the condition as a mental disorder.
In the most comprehensive review and analysis of the effects of caffeine abstinence in humans published to date, the researchers conclude that as little as one small cup of coffee daily can produce caffeine addiction.
